Annapurna Skyline Trek has been dubbed the 'Royal Trek' since Britain's Prince Charles set foot on it in the 1980s. This trip is recommended for beginners or those with limited time. The compressed trek is offers spectacular views of Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna IV, Machapuchre, Lamjung Himal, and Dhaulagiri, while capturing the traditional lifestyles of the tribes whose ancient religious practices and traditions have remained unchanged for thousands of years. . It's not a heavily trekked area, giving all its beauty to one alone.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Day 2: Kathmandu valley sightseeing tour (B/-/-)
Go on a guided sightseeing tour of the highlights of Kathmandu and the surrounding Valley. Visit pilgrimage sites of the Hindus temple Pashupatinath, one of the most important shrines of Shiva. Observe how cremation is performed by Hindus in the holy riverbank of Bagmati. Continue to Nepal's largest stupa, Bouddhanath, a pilgrimage centre for Buddhists. Enjoy a spectacular 360 degree view at Swoyambhunath stupa (monkey temple), the highest point of Kathmandu. Explore the temples and courtyards of Patan, also known as the City of Fine Arts.
Day 3: Kathmandu - Pokhara (820m) (B/-/-)
Depart on a 6 hour drive through the beautiful river view & Nepalese countryside to reach the Pokhara lakeside. Spend the evening submersing in nature by exploring the surrounding lakeside areas.
Day 4: Kalikasthan (Pokhara City) - Shyaklung (1,730m) (B/L/D)
Trek along the ridge of the mountain with good views of Annapurna and Lamjung Himal while exploring many villages and the rhododendron forests.
Day 5: Shyaklung – Chisapani (B/L/D)
Walk through the Gurung village, rhododendron and Sal forest. Arrive at Chisapani midway through the trail - this is the best view point of the Himalayan Panorama.
Day 6: Chsapani - Begnas tal - Pokhara city (B/L/-)
Trek towards Begnas Tal and drive to Pokhara where we will spend the night.
Day 7: Pokhara – Kathmandu (B/-/D)
Choice of flight or 7 hour drive back to Kathmandu through the scenic countryside.
Day 8: Departure (B/-/-)
Free and easy until transfer to airport.
Includes:
