Description
Ba Be Lake is Ba Be National Park Center with likely special configuration contracted in the middle and swollen out on the two ends, surrounded by cliffs with very original and attractive forms and shapes. Through influenced by 3 rivers flows discharging their water into the Lake, lake water remain always blue giving the take both lake and river characteristics.
This trip offers you adventures of boating along the river lakes, cave visiting, and glimpses into the lifestyles of ethnic minorities who continue to maintain their traditional lifestyles and survive by fishing the lake as they have done for centuries.
Itinerary
Day 1: Ba Be National Park (B/L/D)
Be driven through striking mountain scenery on the way to Ba Be National Park. Arrive in time for a sunset stroll in the crisp forest air. Spend the night in Ba Be National Park's Guesthouse.
Day 2: Pucong Cave, Fairy Pond, Widow’s Island, Tay Village (B/L/D)
Spend the full day exploring the park. Travel down the river in a motor launch through Puong Cave. Arrive at a lake, the Fairy Pond, set in dense forest with many birds, and Widow’s Island. It’s a pleasant opportunity to relax as the boat glides through the unruffled crystal-clear water. In the late afternoon, head to the Tay village for dinner and spend the night in a ‘stilt’ house located within the National Park.
Day 3: Local Ethnic Market (B/L/-)
Return to Hanoi and visit a local ethnic market.
(Optional) Consider an extra day mountain hiking from the National Park headquarters through primitive forest to the Dao ethnic minority village of Hin Dam. The hiking is arduous, but the panorama over the lake, the forest flora, and the hospitality of the Dao people makes it all worthwhile. Your overnight accommodation would be in the park.
